Awesome Trip to Patagonia
Went with Ramiro to take pictures and learn about Patagonia, and it’s the best experience I have ever had. Besides the most amazing landscapes and pictures I have ever seen and taken, Ramiro made the whole experience incredible. He is very organized and always has activities and alternatives. I would encourage everyone to go on one of these trip with Ramiro.

Wonderful workshop
Patagonia is an unpredictable natural wonder! Ramiro will take you to amazing spots drawn from fairytales. Everything is well organized and he will make sure your needs are met. The weather in Patagonia can be tricky but Ramiro always has a plan B and we took wonderful pictures. Like all groups, we had a variety of personalities and Ramiro has a talent for connecting with people. We had a wonderful group. Ramiro is available all the time and I felt he was very helpful ranging from composition, editing and even giving you honest critique of your pictures. I recommend this workshop without hesitation. This will be one of those precious memories that you will cherish for life

Overall fantastic experience
Ramiro and his team were consummate professionals. Very knowledgeable, everything was in place and ready to go from day one. Ramiro had no issues making adjustments to our itinerary when rain came in, always had a Plan B ready to go with a smile. I would highly recommend this photography workshop to anybody who’s interested in the great outdoors and learning to elevate their photography to the next level. Thank you, Ramiro, these memories will last a lifetime.

A very nice person, proactively supporting and helping the group members
Ramiro was a guide on my recent trip to Iceland. He is a very nice and attentive knowledgeable person, who proactively supported the group members and showed a constant interest in our welfare and helping us to improve our shots.
You could ask him almost anything about photography, to which he willingly responded, even in-depth. While shooting, you did not even need to ask him. It was Ramiro, who was constantly looking over our shoulders and suggesting improvements.
When we went to a cave of the Vatnajökull glacier, I had forgotten my camera in the bus, and he even offered me his second one, so I could still make some wonderful shots.
Without any doubt, I can fully recommend Ramiro, and may be soon joining him in another workshop or trip.
Best time of my life
I was part of Ramiro’s workshop in Patagonia, and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a very long time. The landscapes were absolutely astonishing, the learning was incredible, and Rami is truly the best guide and person I’ve ever met. I hope I can join another trip with his company soon.

PATAGONIA PHOTO TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1 – Welcome to El Chaltén!
You will be picked up early in the morning from El Calafate Airport or your hotel. A 2.5-hour drive towards our destination, “El Chaltén,” awaits us.
Once in town, we will check into our hotel.
At sunset, we will do a one-hour hike to a lookout above the town, offering stunning views of El Chaltén. El Chaltén is not only the name of the town but also the mountain, commonly known as Fitz Roy. Its original name, “Chaltén,” means “smoking mountain” in Tehuelche or Aonikenk.

Day 2
Around noon, we will begin our five-day adventure, spending the next four nights deep inside the national park. Our first destination is the Poincenot area, reached by a scenic 8-kilometer trail. The path features a gentle and steady incline during the first 3 kilometers to get our legs moving, before leveling out into a very comfortable and pleasant walk. The entire hike takes around 3 hours at an enjoyable, relaxed pace. Once we arrive at our camp base, we will settle in and then set out to explore the area in search of captivating compositions for the sunset. Poincenot is renowned for its unique trees, which boast stunning autumnal colors.

Day 3
We will wake up three hours before sunrise to ensure we can take our time and enjoy a very relaxed pace. A short 2-kilometer trail lies ahead of us, featuring a steep section with a moderate level of difficulty that we will tackle slowly and steadily without any rush. After reaching the top, we will immediately see the Fitz Roy mountain range and Laguna de los Tres right in front of us. Because we started early, we will have plenty of time to choose the best spots and set up our camera gear calmly. While we patiently wait for the magic hour, we can drink hot coffee or a good Argentinian mate.
After heading back down to our camp, it’s time for lunch, a short rest, and then exploring a beautiful natural forest straight out of a fairy tale. Each night, whether bathed in the glow of the moon or under the starry Milky Way, we’ll be watching the sky closely to ensure we don’t miss any incredible night shots.

Day 4
Waking up early is well rewarded, especially in this area of Patagonia. One hour before sunrise, we will head to a location that will leave you breathless. This is a short 1-kilometer hike that will take around 40 minutes. We will get everything ready to capture that dreamed-of sunrise photograph. Afterward, we will have beautiful light to spend time exploring and discovering amazing compositions.
After lunch, it will be time to move towards our next destination. De Agostini, located near Laguna Torre, is our next camp base. This is a 10.5 km (around 3.5 hours) hike with an easy level of difficulty that passes by beautiful viewpoints like Laguna Madre and Laguna Hija. Once we reach the camp and get settled, we will go straight away for sunset shots.

Day 5
We’ll head out before dawn as usual, crossing our fingers for a clear view of Cerro Torre illuminated by the golden and red colors of sunrise. We have the entire day to explore the surrounding area, walk along the glacial lake, and find interesting, unique compositions for our upcoming night photography session.

Day 6
After our morning shooting, we will enjoy lunch and start our return to El Chaltén. This is a pleasant 9-kilometer trail. Being of an easy level of difficulty, it is very enjoyable to walk since it does not present any considerable elevation changes. We will come across multiple beautiful compositions along this path, which is why we want to take extra time to enjoy it as it deserves. Once back in town, it’s time for a well-deserved hot shower and a good rest.

Day 7
After having breakfast in our hotel and before sunrise (around 7:45 AM), we will be picked up to go to a beautiful location for sunrise shots. Wishing for a dramatic sky, we are going to capture some breathtaking scenes, including the classic Patagonia road shot.
Around 11:00 AM, we will have our post-processing class to work on the images we captured. After lunch, it’s time to go on a 2-hour hike to a stunning, secret location. Once back in town, and as our workshop’s end approaches, we will celebrate the journey with a farewell dinner.

Day 8
This is the last day of our photo tour. After breakfast and checking out, we will begin our journey back to El Calafate. If the mountains are visible, we will stop along the way to capture one last sunrise. You will be dropped off at the airport or your hotel, carrying unforgettable memories and memory cards full of amazing photographs.
